Post Marathon Blues

Many people say that after a marathon, a sense of post Marathon Blues takes over their mind.  Post marathons blues I would say has to do with a feeling of accomplishment after finishing such a long-term goal.  However, days following the race can lead to a realization of being done, or completing what was set out to do by the runner.  When the goal has been complete, what is there to live for now?  A question that arises in the mind has to be subdued or controlled by ones mind.
Do not give in to the feeling of laziness after completing the marathon.  People think that “I just ran a marathon, so I deserve to do nothing for a month..” Screw that yo!  Take a week off, or 5 days, whatever your body needs...than slowly get back up and push on!  The results will multiply and the effects on the mind as a runner will only get stronger.  As a climber and runner, my body can take a beating.  There is no need to take training lightly, unless I feel an injury or something.  Training is as important as battle itself.
Every drill is a bloodless battle, every battle is a bloody drill...My captain in Basic Training once told me that...It kept with me ever since.  Harness the energy that you create..We humans manipulate the earths energy to better our life...Use it wisely.
-Cheers-
