Repetition in Running

Repetition in running saves my life.  Every step leads to another, which eventually leads to a point of finishing the deed.  Every footstep leads to the finish line.  In life, the finish line is death, but when death comes knocking on most peoples door...did they ever really live their life? Or did they allow others to persuade them into living that life.  People are to scared to be what they want.
Failure is a guarantee when you follow your heart (the typical thought), just like when you ride a motorcycle every car is out to kill you.  Think of that...you have to understand that your heart wants what you were made to be...yea, failure is a possibility, as is the possibility that every car can hit me as I am riding my bike.
Honestly, People are successful; many many many people have money, nice things, and fulfillment of worldly desires, food, and shelter.  Those things, with any choice in life can come with time.  Once you have adjusted to having those things, who are you?  Are you those items that you possess?  Are you the car you drive?  When you die, what will you have?  Memories maybe.  What will you remember?  The time you drove to the bar, the time you flew in your jet, the time you signed and autograph?
What did you do that was worth your heart?  Did your heart always strive to be a Doctor, or did your lust strive for it?  Some people know that they want to be a doctor...they do it! (Which is great)  That’s what they wanted to be with true intentions with their heart.  To want to do something, just so you can have something in exchange, cool things, clothes, status quo items, then who are you fooling, yourself or your friends?
When I run, my reality is gone.  Every car is out to kill me, every step is killing me, every breath strips me, every drop of sweat leaves me, my mind is a vacuum to the views of an abstract world.  A world where my feet lead me, that is what running gives.          It is not only an activity for enjoyment. It is a whole dimension of truly understanding our humanly physical potential.  Running like every other great thought has now grown into a fad.  But this is one fad I can say that I have proudly given into, simply because, It saved me.
